Whenever I walk to the tube station I always lust after this gorgeous bicycle (its wayyy for fluorescent in real life). Seriously, check out the red chain - yum! You can get one of these babies from Urban Outfitters and create them to your own tastes, check 'em out here. I especially like the "Skyan" colour scheme.

Anyway, one week and a bit till back to school. But this summer has been so smashing, I've been working every week, this week I'm interning at ELLE's art department which has been cool. Next week will be my first (and last!) week off, so I think I will bum out big time!

Supermarket Sweep

When your parents are on holiday and you are left alone, one of the biggest treats (in my opinion) is being able to go to the supermarket solo. Today while I was picking up some "bits" for dinner I couldn't help but be distracted by this terrific chocolate. My fave is the emergency chocolate but at £1.95 a bar I think it will have to be saved for a real crisis.

Vicky and Al

Maz and I went to the v+a on Sunday, the weather was glorious. We hung out in the courtyard and then she took me to the new jewellery and costume departments.  The jewellery ones were mega BLING but I kept on forgetting the glass was there and attempting to try on rings but instead bashing my head - nice. 

If like me you don't really like dull, old things  the costume department is definitely for you. Check out the awesome Dame Edna breakfast suit and the panto-smartie suit - smashing! Also we had much fun with the adult dressing up box, if you are there try on the red leather bird suit, one word: woah!

I've got a stack of 45's

One of the things that I love the most in the world is listening to records. Then after that comes sorting them out. I spent this morning choosing which ones will go in my box to take out. I use my Dad's record box from back in the day when he used to play northern soul, it's mega sturdy. I have my own polka dot record box from ebay but it isn't too great, it's broken and doesn't look too strong.

Noticed today that I have quite a lot of coloured vinyls. My favourite one is the white hypnosis-style MGMT one.

1+2: I found a brilliant Thomas Burberry, Harrington-style jacket from Rokit the other day. I think it's chav-tastic, plus it's reversible. But to be honest I think my friends won't be too happy to be around me when I am supporting my fabulous jacket! My foundation preparation course took me to Brixton Market yesterday where I got fantastic plastic flowers for only £1!!! I think I may have to return in order to make some floral headbands.

3. Lemon Raulph Lauren shirt for a fiver from charity shop. Might cut it up a bit, not too sure...

4. Silk nightie, which someone I know says I can't wear out because it's nightwear, but I beg to differ!

5. Who doesn't love to be ghetto?? Green bandana for two quid accompanied by a shocking imitation of VV Brown's hair!

6. Vinyyylllll. These were the only two I could afford today because I spent quite a bit this afternoon on a snazzy lunch. Rabbit Heart (Raise it Up) by Florence and the Machine: Yah, I know that she is bloody everywhere these days, but I really liked the sleeve it reminds me of a Juicy Couture advert. And I also got Half in Love with Elizabeth by The Mystery Jets, which I do not need to justify.

Teenage Kicks

On Sunday, I attended Underage Festival in Victoria Park with BFR contributor Kathy.

It was quite a hilarious day; the event is strictly 14 - 18 year olds (although I did see some beards that were definetley post pubescent!) giving it a bit of a 21st century Bugsy Malone feel! The best acts were definetley Mystery Jets and Santigold. However, I'm writing a piece on fashion there for the next issue of the mag. So here are just a few photos to keep your eyes busy for the time waiting!
