MONDAY

Above is a different kind of outfit post.
I was invited by The Considered Ensemble to contribute to their collection.
Which basically is "a purely text based archive offers a new kind of appreciation for clothing and individual style. Detailed descriptions give insight into the creativity, coordination and thought behind each unique ensemble".

SATURDAY

Headscarf - Viv Westwood
Tee - Some Northern Soul one from my Dad's wardrobe
Shorts - John Lewis school uniform
Deck shoes - Rockport from Mum's wardrobe

Hello!
This is an outfit shot from a while back, looking just a tad keen.
Last few days have been spent at the library or at home attempting to revise. Though it's pretty hard to do when you've got an unconditional offer. Usually ending up watching a Come Dine With Me omnibus or starting to make lunch at 11am.
Had my leavers "dinner and disco" (we don't say "prom" here) which was very pleasant, may post an outfit shot if I can find a decent photo, I was very pink.
Spent this afternoon making a flapper dress for a party tomorrow. Peter Jones is like my best friend (not the tosser of the Dragons Den, the department store)

And, woah I get so excited about the Junior Apprentice.
Was so gutted that Reece left though.
Also, someone needs to tell that Zoe girl that an undercut, red lipstick and white tights do not make you inferior to everyone else your age. Yah?

Anyway, this post has gone wayyy offtrack.
It's probably because Eurovision is on in the background playing with my mind.

Laters + peace out

THURSDAY

Sneak at Issue//16
I've been rather generous with posts this week.
Has nothing at all to do with revision.
Seriously.

MONDAY

This is a bloody cliched post, ok?
I'm aware of this matter.
But I think it's so cool, how miumiu s/s 2010, has inspired so many people to have a go at making their own copies.
Yes, there is the whole issue of intellectual property, but it's not as though people are selling them on. (I hope!)
The shoes DIY is fabulous!

Inspired or disgusted????

SUNDAY

Here is a fantastic "Volcano Club" zine, by Gussy. Which I think is brilliant and way easier to read than the National Geographic Special on volcanoes. My favourite is the "which volcano are you?" quiz, turns out I'm a Vesuvius!

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sun!

MONDAY

The last two years have been torture for me.
Just because of one crazy rule my school enforces ...
NO BAG POLICY
Yeah, I know crazy!
(but i guess it's like a 90% boys school, but whatevs)
You know the choice that everyone has to make about whether you're a "shoes girl" or a "bag girl"?
I am certainly the latter.
Not caring if my hair or outfit look a state, so long as I have the right piece of arm candy.
Yes, tragic.
So, here are some bags I have gathered over the last month

This terrific tinyweeny handbag was given to me by my bestfriend N, who is certainly a shoegirl. (Despite having a crazy amount of fit bags!) This bag is lovely and small, just enough for keys, phone, oystercard and mobile - forcing one to down size. The best thing about it is that it has my mum's initials on it, but all jumbled up.
Terrific!

Next up is this cheeky number from Lulu G, that I received from my dad for my birthday. When I saw the purple striped bag I got pretty excited because anything from Lulu is a treat (have you seen her doing tv sales on QVC? It's brilliant!) and this clutch was not an exception. My favourite bit is the embroidery on the inside of the pocket saying "the cat that got all the cream", love little details like that sooo much. I think this photo is rather funny cos A. Chung looks a bit like a cat herself!

And this is todays acquisition.
Bling-tastic?
My mum got me a Marc Jacobs voucher which had been burning a hole in my pocket quite a lot, so I decided on this baby. Thanks ma. Was going to opt for turqoise but it looked a bit 14yearold-girl-pauls-boutique-vibe.

Haha
This will be me once I finally get my student loan ...

Anyway, enough of this sack talk.
So .....
Bags or shoes???

ps. I think I'm gonna neglect Othello and study i-D as tonight's literary feast!

TUESDAY

Last Thursday, Maya, Aurien and I rocked on down to the Teen Vogue Handbook UK Launchparty @ Marc by Marc Jacobs. Was such a lovely day (and I got to vote for the first time!),  the shop was jam packed with book signings from the US editor and with the major guests being Henry Holland and Pixie, as well as a swarm of people's kids, models and London public school girls! My monthly allowance had not landed, so unfortunately I could not pick up a copy, will certainly get one soon. But I had a flick through and despite most handbooks being a bit lame, I wouldn't mind a bit of career advice from Karl Lagerfeld!

Plus there was lots of yum cakes and Percy pigs to be eaten, as well as goodie bags - super!

Thanks to Rubbish who I have stolen photographs from and Aurien too.

SATURDAY

Ok, prepare for photo overload...

Last night was sooo lovely at the V+A, big thanks to tea+make for organising it and to LJR for putting up with me and keeping me company.
Basically BFRmag created a hanging "quilt" which people added to with their own patches. If you came down I hope you had a lovely evening.

Have a safe weekend
